I worked in an advertising agency,
I hate advertising.

From the experience remained a constant interest in the study of urban and commercial trickery – also known in French as roublardise. To reveal the economical construct of urban contexts, I use the effectiveness of commercial strategies against itself in a tautological and often parasitic manner.

To a further extend my practice tackles the aesthetics of bureaucracy, entrepreneurship, and efficiency through relational, situational and contextually-specific works, self-reflecting upon the economy of artistic practice in a production-driven society.

Since 2018 I co-initiate and curate The Balcony, an exhibition and curatorial platform based in The Hague. In 2020 I joined the curatorial committee of Art Au Centre in Liège/Luik. In the summer of 2024 I joined Cas-co Leuven as the new residency coordinator of Off the Grid, Cas-co residency and presentation program. My artistic practice has been supported by the Mondriaan Fonds, and project grants from Stroom Den Haag. I have taken part in various residency programs most notably RAVI : Résidences-Ateliers Vivegnis International (2019), Greylight Projects (2021) and Biennale de l’Image Possible–BIP (2024).

Work in collections include HEDEN Collection (The Hague), The Annex Collection (UK), and IKOB Museum of Contemporary Art (Eupen, Belgium).

Recent solo exhibitions include Laatste Ronde at TRIXIE, The Hague (NL, 2023); FREE COFFEE** NO SMARTPHONE FOR ETERNITY at IKOB Museum of Contemporary Art, Eupen (BE, 2022) and Kunst_planten at Hgtomi Rosa, The Hague (NL, 2021).
