FREE COFFEE

2017 - 2018

Free coffee, paper cups, tape.
Duration: two liters

FREE COFFEE is a work developped in public space that imitates a street vendor boutique. Coffee is provided for free, but the cups are attached to the frame by a wire, based on “when it’s free you are the product”.  The duration of the performance lasts two liters of coffee. The work questions the imprint of the economy on the territory and urban spaces in a materialized and visible way.
Meanwhile, the mobile work questions the ability of the artist to sabotage his own durational work by drinking his own coffee, and playing with the linguistic proximity of running and ruining one’s own practice. FREE COFFEE is playing with “la zone de chalandise” of artistic practices.
